Christopher Nolan Says Fellow Directors Have Called to Complain About His ‘Inaudible’ Sound.

Why are the mixes on his films so bad? I've mixed maybe 30,000 tracks for broadcast so I have a pretty good idea. His ears suck.

Mixing films by ear is a bad choice. You need to read your meters. You need a flat eq on your speakers. You need to know what you're really hearing and how your choices play in the real world. Basically, my advice to Chris Nolan is to step back and let the professionals do their work.
